Kia Edwards is the owner of Doggie Delights by Miss Dior.  Kia originally started this business because Bailey, her adorable Shiatsu, was putting on the pounds.  Her intent was just to be able to make healthy affordable treats for her own dog. After doing research Kia found out that most of the ingredients in doggie treats are not actually good for your dogs. This inspired Kia to make some healthy treats for Bailey. After creating her first batch of treats she shared them with the other teachers at her job. (Kia is a kindergarten teacher and Doggie Delights by Miss Dior is her side gig.)  Once she shared her treats with the teachers at her job they started raving about how much their dogs loved the treats and they began inquiring how much the treats costs?  And Doggie Delights by Miss Dior was created. The business aspect never crossed Kia’s mind until she realized there was a demand for her treats.  Doggie Delights has been in business a little over a year and has partnered with a local dog groomer M&M spa in Stockbridge Georgia. They feature her treats when doggies come in for a visit. She also has a customer base of friends, family and dog owners who pamper their pets. Most of Kia’s clients are in her local community and she gives special benefits to her premier clients.  Kia offers holiday gift baskets and she keeps her premier clients informed with new specials and taste testings.  Kia’s treats are for dog owners who truly care for their dogs and their health.  Even the name of Kia’s business represents the elite clients she seeks to purchase her treats. The treats are custom designed, made with care and love in each biscuit. Kia uses only the best, all natural ingredients that are safe and nutritious for your doggie. Through much inspiration Kia came up with numerous flavors and treats such as Chickenlicious, Spinach “Fetch”uccini,, BBQ Bone, and Sweet Potatoe Pup Cakes.  The most popular flavor is Chickenliscious. In the future Kia plans to expand her business and open up a Doggie Boutique. I really enjoyed this shoot because it was new to me. I have never had the opportunity to have a photo session with a dog and I am definitely looking forward to more pet sessions in the future. He was so cute and it was great to hear how Kia cares and pampers her doggie Bailey. It was also interesting to see how well behaved Bailey was during our session.  I think that Kia’s focus on healthy treats for dogs is a great idea and I cannot wait to see how it will continue to expand.
